A STRANGE SIGHT

I went to the Vaal Dam today with a friend of mine. This is one of the STRANGEST sights I have seen in a long time. It boggles my mind. What do you think?????

A NEW QUILT

There is something so enriching about quilting! I have recently joined a quilter's group and have now produced my very first every quilt - after just 2 months of lessons. I am quite thrilled with the achievement! My quilt lies gratiously on the bed in my guest bedroom, waiting to keep our next visitor warm and snug.

This particular quilt has been constructed around the 'bear's claw' pattern. I just loved the colours of the fabrics, but it has turned out quite nicely don't you think?

AN IDEA TO COMBAT STRESS

We all have mechanisms for curbing stress.

One mechanism I've come across in one of my daughters is the tendency to make fudge during the build up to exams. I think this is an amazing trait and I would highly recommend it.

Making fudge involves endless, patient stirring... watching that pot and tending to it's contents in a gentle manner. If you blink and don't watch, before you know it the fudge will be burnt. The time you stand there next to the stove is a creative time...converting your stress into something delicious.

The end result is that everyone wants to be your friend and your stress will be diverted to coping with cupboard love.
Try it sometime!
